Mini-Activities
Mini Activities are short 30 to 45 minute activities that do not prolong more than a class period to complete. Mini-activities have several purposes. They can be taught between lessons or units, to change up the pace of the class, to branch off of a current lesson in order to introduce a bigger lesson, focus on or reinforce a certain technique or element, or to allow students who finished their art project early to participate in a stimulating activity while respectfully waiting for their classmates to finish. These scenario based mini-activities all serve the purpose of achieving an obtainable goal in a condensed amount of time.
